EQB Names Former CFO and Scotiabank Veteran as CEO

Chadwick Westlake, a seasoned financial executive, is set to return to the financial services sector as the new CEO of EQB following the passing of former CEO Andrew Moor. Westlake, who previously served as the CFO of EQB, brings a wealth of experience from his nearly two-decade tenure at the Bank of Nova Scotia.

According to a statement released by EQB, Westlake played a pivotal role in driving the acquisition and integration of Concentra Bank, the addition of alternative asset manager ACM Advisors, and the significant expansion of Equitable Bank’s capital markets capabilities and platform.

Commenting on Westlake’s appointment, EQB highlighted his strategic leadership and track record of overseeing key acquisitions, including the development of a successful $3.1-billion European covered bond program during a period of substantial growth.

Despite his departure to EQB in 2020, Westlake’s impact on the company resonates, with EQB expressing confidence in his ability to uphold and foster the innovative culture that has propelled the organization forward.

With his deep industry knowledge and proven executive acumen, Westlake is poised to steer EQB towards continued success and sustainable growth in the competitive financial landscape.
