Iran Attends 11th BRICS Communications Ministers Meeting

TEHRAN– The Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Meysam Abedi, represented Iran at the 11th BRICS Communications Ministers Meeting, held on May 29 and 30 in Brazil.

To enhance technology diplomacy, Abedi engaged in discussions with delegates from member states such as Brazil, Russia, India, South Africa, China, the UAE, Indonesia, and Ethiopia. Iran aims to strengthen its national ICT capabilities and promote global innovation.

Iran is committed to fostering regional cooperation and advancing AI-driven initiatives for success and unity, as emphasized by ICT Minister Sattar Hashemi earlier this year. Hashemi highlighted Iran’s significant role in the regional digital landscape and readiness to collaborate with neighboring countries on AI development.
