Changes on the Board of Directors
Claure Group’s representation on the Girona FC Board of Directors has changed. Marcelo Claure has given up his position to Ricardo Sosa Machado, who signs up as a new director. Ricardo is an investment professional at Claure Group, where he sources, structures, and manages private-equity and venture-capital investments, supervising a diverse portfolio of more than 40 assets covering multiple geographies and sectors. Prior to Claure Group, Ricardo worked as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan in New York, advising boards and senior executives on mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions. He gained operating experience as Business Manager at high-growth fintech ADDI and as co-founder of the Colombian health startup FlySpinn. Ricardo started his career as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, partnering with management teams to identify business challenges, develop data-driven growth strategies, and guide project execution across various industries. Ricardo holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and graduated summa cum laude from The Pennsylvania State University with dual B.S. degrees in Economics and Energy Business & Finance.
Christopher John Cook has also joined the Board, replacing Matthew Shayle. Chris is an English lawyer advising individuals and companies on commercial and corporate matters. He has also provided counsel to sports clubs on administration and governance issues. Chris has been a part of the prestigious international property law firm Wiggin Osborne Fullerlove since 2004.
