BBN Airlines Indonesia, which holds an airline operating licence to offer scheduled commercial flights, recently secured an investment worth US$6.2 Million or Rp96.1 Billion.
BBN Airlines Indonesia was awarded approval from the Transportation Ministry to operate scheduled commercial flights, and will invest US$6.2 Million or Rp96.1 Billion via parent company Avia Solutions Group by 2023.
Avia Solutions Group stated in their press announcement: “This acquisition underscores Avia Solutions Group’s confidence in the growth and success capacity of this airline that operates until 2022 in Indonesia, raising its business valuation up to $14 Million (Rp217 Billion).”
A business had planned on allocating funds in order to implement its growth strategy and expand their fleet while meeting operations needs.
BBN Airlines Indonesia was granted its Air Operation Certificate on August 20, 2023 and increased their fleet threefold with four new aircraft; one Boeing 737-400SF and three Boeing 737-800NGs arriving.
With their AOC certificate in hand, the company began planning scheduled flights beginning March 2024.
“According to BBN Airlines Indonesia Chairperson Martynas Grgas in Jakarta on 11 March 2024, BBN Airlines Indonesia is viable and compliant with regulations to start commercial passenger flights scheduled to begin operating immediately on March 20, 2024.” This news came directly from Indonesian’s Transportation Ministry on 20 March 2024.
Martynas stated he will use the money to implement their strategic plan of operating 40 airplanes by the close of 2027.
